about

Samsara

Music and Lyrics by David

Vocals and Keyboards by David

About the Song:
This is a song I started working on in the mid/late 1980’s as I came up with and continued exploring the piano progressions, eventually merging them into this single song. I was learning about Buddhism at the time and eventually settled on the title, a Sanskrit word indicating our human wanderings through this world as well as the belief in rebirth.

lyrics

Lyrics:

You can’t change me

Girl, you won’t arrange the thoughts laid down in my mind

Through the soul of one

Who can’t but help feel

Riding on this life wheel

I must move along

Life it seems must be used to achieve our dreams

Don’t hold on now

I will soon be gone

Though we’ll remain always one

Through the soul of One

Who’s always been here

Though He may not seem near

We’ll never be alone

In the end, live to learn time and time again

Life it seems must be used to achieve our dreams
